SkinB5 Extra Strength Acne Control Vitamins

SkinB5 was developed by an Australian entrepreneur and is named as such due to its star ingredient of Pantothenic Acid, also known as Vitamin B5. Many manufacturers have mistakenly left out this clinically-proven ingredient, so we are pleased to find it here. However, while it also contains Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide or Nicotinamide), it is in a much lower dose than what is recommended.  Additionally, while we were pleased to see that both Zinc and Copper are included in this ingredient list, they are not in the correct ratio which is proven to have the optimal health benefits for the body. We were also disappointed to see that they omitted ingredients such as Vitamin E, Chromium and BioPerine. Overall though, we like this manufacturer and feel that they formulated a decent option. 

When reviewing this product, we were pleased to see a price tag that suggests quality – not cheap, but definitely affordable.  We appreciated the fact they based their formula upon Pantothenic Acid and that they included quality ingredients. Unfortunately, we felt that they were simply lacking some key ingredients that are backed by scientific research and their formula did not have many positive reviews that we were able to find. They could also have definitely improved the kind of guarantee they provide but we realize that a good guarantee usually comes with a manufacturer’s confidence in the results you will experience so that could explain why.

We appreciated the fact that this supplement offers a full month’s supply (120 capsules) and that the price is relatively affordable. It isn’t the cheapest we found but cheap doesn’t always mean quality so when it comes to good quality supplements, most of the time, you get what you pay for. However, we were shocked to see that there is only a return policy on damaged products and even then, customers only have 14 days in which to claim return. Acnetame

Acnetame claims to be beneficial for hormonal Acne and is targeted specifically for people with oily skin. We were happy to see that this product does contain Pantothenic Acid, Niacinamide, Vitamin A and some other well-documented ingredients. However, the amount of possible side effects is actually staggering.  

We liked the fact that this product contains a large serving of Pantothenic Acid for controlling oil production as well as promoting healthy skin. However, we did find their dose of Niacinamide to be lacking. We were very glad to see the inclusion of BioPerine to enhance the efficacy of this product, however, it’s hard to tell how much BioPerine is actually added as it is included in a proprietary blend. Our biggest red flag was the amount of Vitamin A in this product as it exceeds the daily amount which should be taken by women. This has the potential to be dangerous for one’s health and not something to be taken lightly.

Most impressive is the sheer volume of reviews you can find about Acnetame. While a great many are positive, the negative reviews suggest some very serious side effects that need serious review. Indeed on the actual bottle of this supplement, there are concerns of dry eye, upset stomach, vertigo, joint pain and headaches. Many customers have also complained about dry skin, vomiting and constipation. It may be that for people with specific Acne problems, this could work well, but it doesn’t seem to be the Acne solution for all different types of Acne.
